HESI is an acronym that stands for “Health Education Systems Incorporated”
It is an organization that develops a series of standardized exams and learning aids which are mainly used in nursing and allied health programs. The exams are used for different intents and purposes such as:
- HESI Admission Assessment A2: A pre-graduate admission assessment used by a variety of institutions to assess an individual’s academic readiness for a given program.
- HESI Exit Exam: A proctored exam taken by students in their final year, using an algorithm to predict a student’s performance on a professional licensure examination, such as NCLEX.
